About Hannah James & Toby Kuhn

Innovative folk artist Hannah James reunites with dynamic cellist Toby Kuhn for a series of live shows celebrating their new album, Where All Our Names Belong.

Together they weave a rich tapestry of song, story, and rhythm – Hannah’s expressive voice, accordion, and percussive dance entwined with Toby’s vivid, unorthodox cello delivery.

Hannah is an award-winning musician, dancer, songwriter and singer, a creative force renowned for her work in Lady Maisery and collaborations with Seasick Steve, Maddy Prior and Songs of Separation with Eliza Carthy, Karine Polwart and others.

Toby is an award-winning French cellist whose post-classical, inventive, improvisational playing has taken him all across the globe.

Their performances unfold as an immersive journey: soulful songs, playful dances, and unexpected textures that shift effortlessly between delicacy and power.

Ever curious, ever inventive, Hannah and Toby blur the lines between tradition and innovation, inviting audiences into moments of connection, discovery, and joy.
