Helen and Douglas House will hold a star-studded charity comedy gala, for the first time in 10 years, hosted by Matt Richardson and friends. This one-night-only event brings together a stellar line-up of comedians, all performing for a fantastic cause.
Join us on 17 February at the New Theatre Oxford, where a night of side-splitting humour awaits. With proceeds going to support local children with life-limiting illnesses, you can enjoy a hilarious evening while making a difference in your community.

Meet your host, Matt Richardson
Having started stand-up at just 18 years old, Matt is now a fixture at all the major comedy clubs in the UK and has performed overseas on countless occasions.
Matt is a seasoned TV and radio host and has presented shows such as The Extra Factor (ITV2), The Hangover Games (E4), and Virgin Radioโs Drive Time Show.
His other TV appearances include Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Celebrity Juice (ITV), and pretty much any spin-off show you can name!
Joel Dommett
One of the safest and funniest pairs of hands-on television, Joel Dommett has become a firm fixture on TV in the last few years.
During his successful stint on Iโm a Celebrityโฆ Get me out of here! (where he finished second), Joel gained thousands of fans due to his unique humour and loveable personality.
Jen Brister
The โfuriously funnyโ (The Guardian) Jen Brister is a critically acclaimed stand-up comedian and writer. She is a regular performer on the UK and international comedy circuits and has made memorable appearances on BBCโs Live at the Apollo, QI, and Mock the Week.
Angela Barnes
Angela Barnes swapped a career in health and social care for stand-up in 2010 and hasnโt looked back.
She won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2011 and has toured around the country with her stand-up shows, as well as performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Angela is a firm favourite on BBC Radio 4 and has starred in BBC Twoโs Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo, House of Games, and Hypothetical on Dave.
Jack Skipper
Jack Skipper has recently gone from a carpet fitter with no qualifications to an internet sensation and full-time comedian!
Whether telling stories of life as a family man or observations on working-class life, his everyday guy persona has gained an impressive following on social media, with over 14 million likes on TikTok alone.

About New Theatre Oxford




There has been a theatre on George Street for almost 170 years. The first theatre was built in 1836, and a second in 1886. In 1934, the third New Theatre opened.
The theatre has been owned by several different companies and undergone several name changes. It is now owned by the Ambassador Theatre Group and hosts everything from ballet and opera to musicals.
On performance days, the Box Office opens at noon and closes 15 minutes after the show starts. If there is a performance on a Sunday or Bank Holiday, Box Office will open 2 hours before the show begins and close 15 minutes after the show starts.
There is a large air-conditioned bar with seating located below the Stalls Foyer, two further bars in the Circle Foyer and an additional one at the back of the balcony. All stocked with an array of drinks and snacks.
There is a cloakroom located in the stalls bar. If this is closed, please speak to a member of staff. ยฃ1 per item. It is free to ATG Theatre Card members.
