About Lessons from History

Lessons from History is a Double Bill of two short new plays.

Paddy Hitler
By Kieran Cooke

This new play looks at the often-tortured life of Paddy Hitler, son of Hitler’s elder half-brother and an Irish mother.

An Innocuous Prick
By Ian Cox

The second play focuses on local rows, riots, and politics as compulsory smallpox inoculations are introduced in the late 19th century and the impact on the small Oxfordshire town of Charlbury.
