Meet the Scientists: Try Out Research!
03 August @ 10.30am to 3.00pm

About Meet the Scientists: Try Out Research!
Join the Oxford University Experimental Psychology team to take part in real research. Taking part in these activities will help scientists discover more about children’s behaviour and how their brains work.
Study 1: Study on decision making
Children will watch objects being placed into containers and asked to find the object. This practical task will help the researchers investigate how children make logical decisions. Ages 2.5 to 5 years.
Study 2: Recognition of emotional expressions
Children will be asked to rate several drawings of emotions on a tablet, helping researchers to investigate children’s understanding of emotions. Ages 4 to 12 years.
Please note that there are limited spaces and there will be a sign-up sheet available on the day to sign up to take part in the study whilst at the Museum. Taking part in one of the studies will take approximately 25 minutes per child. Parents and carers must stay with children taking part in the studies.
