About OxBright Festival
The North Wall is partnering with UCEC to deliver the inaugural OxBright Festival, an international youth arts festival designed to celebrate creativity, collaboration and artistic excellence among young people.
The festival is founded on the belief that art is a powerful tool to educate, inspire and connect young people with their communities. It also reflects a commitment to ensuring that all young people have access to high-quality artistic experiences and opportunities to create and present their work.
OxBright Festival will bring together children and young people aged 8 to 17 for a programme of creative workshops, Q&A sessions, performances and opportunities to perform on a professional stage with their school or community group.
In the lead-up to the festival, selected school and community groups will prepare and rehearse performances that will be transferred to The North Wall as part of the festival programme. These groups will also participate in workshops during the festival week.
Members of the public will be invited to attend performances in the theatre, with booking opening on 22 June 2026.
The festival aims to provide a platform for young people to celebrate their work on an international stage, with organisers hoping to welcome participating groups from England, China, Argentina and beyond.
Current partners include UCEC, Edward Feild Primary School, Cutteslowe Primary School, Wolvercote Young People’s Club and St Clare’s Summer School.
