About Oxford Bach Choir: Elgar – The Kingdom

Following its performance of The Apostles in March 2025, the Oxford Bach Choir continues the second stage of its two-year Elgar Project with a performance of The Kingdom.

Drawing on texts from the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles, Elgar’s oratorio continues the story of the Apostles and the formation of the early Christian church.

The choir is joined by a distinguished line-up of soloists and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Benjamin Nicholas. This concert is supported by The Elgar Society.
