About Playhouse Youth Theatre
Playhouse Youth Theatre is entering an exciting new chapter, offering young people aged 12 to 16 (Years 7 to 11) the opportunity to collaborate on the creation of an original piece of theatre.
With co-creation at the heart of the programme, participants will work alongside Youth Theatre leaders Lucy Findlay and Caitlin Kirby as creative collaborators, devising original material in response to a set question.
Sessions and rehearsals will help participants develop performance skills, build confidence in their creativity and imagination, and discover the rewards of working collaboratively on an engaging project with new friends.
The project will culminate in a full-length production at Oxford Playhouse’s Burton Taylor Studio in July 2027.
Additional sharings will take place at the end of each stage of the creative process, including a Scratch Night following Stage One, where the group will present the beginnings of their ideas, and a Research and Development sharing at the end of Stage Two, when the work begins to develop greater structure and meaning.
Sessions take place on Tuesday evenings from 5.00pm to 7.30pm in Oxford Playhouse’s Top Room, with additional rehearsals potentially scheduled closer to performance dates. Participants are expected to attend all sessions throughout the year.

Ticket prices:
Full price – £330.00
Termly fee – £110.00
Participants can pay upfront, or in three instalments of £110.00 at the start of each new stage of the project.
All orders will be subject to a per transaction booking fee of £1.50
