The superb Uruguayan-Spanish tenor Santiago Sanchez studied at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. In 2023, Santiago was awarded First Prize at the International Mozart Competition and in 2024 the Second Prize at the Wigmore Hall/Bollinger International Song Competition.
He was recently chosen as a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist for 2025-2026.
The concert will feature songs of love, longing and loss, pairing Schumann’s greatest song cycle with the rich and vibrant tradition of Latin American song.
