The Signing of the Peace Dance

About The Signing of the Peace Dance

Let’s party! Celebrate 80 years of the signing of peace after World War II by dancing the morning away. Learn to jive and lindy hop.

Adults bring your kids, kids bring your adults! This is fun for all the family and for all ages! Head to the Museum of Oxford for a fun-filled intergenerational dance workshop. Our excellent dance instructor will aim to be as inclusive as possible to support all abilities and ages.

Learn the dances that would have filled the dance halls 80 years ago when peace was declared at the end of World War II.

There is 1 hour long session: 11.00am-12.00pm.

Please make sure to arrive on time. We allow a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. After this point, we cannot guarantee admission to the activity.

This workshop is suitable for ages 5-100!

We recommend booking in advance to secure your place.

Sales from tickets help support our work to deliver fun and accessible family activities, community engagement projects, schools workshops, exhibitions, and special events for Oxford’s people in our Museum spaces.
