About Tosca

Join Oxford International Opera and celebrated opera stars for a new, fully-staged production of Puccini’s Tosca brought to the New Theatre in Oxford for two nights only.

P Burton-Morgan directs this opera classic in a new production brought to the modern-day by designer Anthony Lamble. Sir Bryn Terfel takes to the stage as Scarpia in his final staged production of Puccini’s Tosca, alongside award-winning soprano Carmen Giannattasio as the diva Tosca.

They are joined by lyric tenor Saimir Pirgu playing the revolutionary painter Cavaradossi in his UK debut of the role.

Conducted by Music Director Marios Papadopoulos, the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra will be an additional protagonist and extra voice, among the international cast of singers and the Oxford Philharmonic Choir.
