About Under Milk Wood

Presented by Theatre Tours International

By Dylan Thomas

Performed by Guy Masterson

Olivier Award-winner Guy Masterson brings his globally acclaimed solo performance of Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood back to The Playhouse.

Masterson vividly conjures all 69 of Thomas’ colourful characters, capturing the beauty, humour, and pathos of a day in the fictional Welsh town of Llareggub. With an astonishing blend of memory, physicality, and a stunning soundscape by Matt Clifford (The Rolling Stones), this masterful performance makes the words sing.

Inspired by his uncle, Richard Burton, Masterson has performed this award-winning production over 2,000 times worldwide since 1993. Most recently, he directed The Shark is Broken on Broadway, which appeared at The Playhouse in January.
