Witney Jazz presents – The Randolph Mathews / Nick Meier Band
Inventive, Highly Entertaining Vocal-Led Jazz & World Music Vibes.
These four will kick up an absolute musical storm!
Jazz Vocalist Randolph Mathews is one of the most exciting vocal talents in Britain today. This is what Britain’s number one Jazz radio station ‘Jazz FM’ said about him: “Dazzling improvisational skills. Flawless and world class”.
World-class guitarist Nicolas Meier is all about creating beautifully crafted music, whether that’s powering out jazz standards, touring with Jeff Beck or taking his own project featuring Yellow Jackets bassist Jimmy Haslip to an Uber-impressed Europe.
Expect Jazz, world music, arabesque and Latin creations, but overall, a shimmeringly outstanding 90 minutes of music as you’ve possibly never heard before.
Percussionist Demi Garcia and bassist Paul Jefferies will complete this very exciting lineup.

About Corn Exchange, Witney

The Corn Exchange is a public hall in the centre of Witney, located in West Oxfordshire. A community space and multi-purpose arts venue. Whether you are looking for music, theatre, comedy nights, lectures, conferences or even weddings, it is the venue for you.
The Corn Exchange, Witney, was built by the private Corn Exchange Company in 1863, replacing a 16th-century building used in the 1850s as a corn returns office. This beautiful stone building was designed by architect J. Collier of Putney in an Italianate style and, by 1875, was Witney’s leading building.
From the outset, it was used for social events and meetings as well as corn dealings and housed several clubs and societies. The building continues to fulfil this purpose and will continue to do so in the future.
With the 19th-century building incorporating all the character you would expect, plus the addition of modern facilities, and not forgetting the in-house café and bar 1863, The Corn Exchange is a destination and focal point for the people of West Oxfordshire and beyond.
