This tour, which is the shortest at 45 minutes, offers a condensed yet comprehensive overview of the city.
All of the guided walking tours are quality-assessed and delivered by highly trained, knowledgeable, and experienced guides. The tours are delivered in small group sizes, allowing for a more intimate experience – meaning that if you have any questions, you can always ask your tour guide!
The organisers have recently finished working on a project that aimed to make the City Sightseeing attraction all-inclusive. Up until now, we have advised that the walking tour (referring to the free 45 minutes walking tour) was not accessible for wheelchair users. Not anymore!
With the help of Diane Sider, a member of the committee ‘Unlimited Oxford’ the organisers worked out a route for the 45-minute tour (same tour same highlights same duration) which is now accessible to everyone.

Dates & times:
Monday to Sunday at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
Age guidance:
All Children (15 and under) need to be accompanied on the tour by an adult.
Good to know:
- The 3.30pm tour does not operate between 01 September and 25 October 2025
- Online bookings will generate a pre-paid e-voucher which can be used on the bus. You can either show the ticket on your phone or mobile device, or present a printed version. The redemption period is 12 months from date of purchase.
- Tour tickets are accepted (during the validity period selected) on all Guide Friday City Sightseeing Oxford buses.
