Venue information

Aylesbury Waterside Theatre is a landmark venue that has transformed the town’s cultural landscape since its opening in October 2010.

Developed as part of a major regeneration project, the theatre replaced the old Aylesbury Civic Centre, bringing a state-of-the-art performance space to Buckinghamshire. Its stunning architecture, featuring sweeping wooden curves inspired by the Chiltern Hills, has made it a striking focal point in the town.

Since opening, Waterside Theatre has hosted major West End touring productions, top comedians, and live music acts, cementing its reputation as a premier entertainment venue outside London. Designed for comfort and accessibility, it boasts step-free access, wheelchair spaces, and hearing loop systems, ensuring an inclusive experience for all.

Alongside its 1,200-seat main auditorium, the theatre is also home to the Norman Bragg Studio, a versatile performance space named after a key supporter of the theatre’s development. This intimate venue hosts smaller-scale productions, comedy nights, rehearsals, community events, and private functions, providing a platform for emerging talent and local performances.

Whether looking for a show-stopping musical, laugh-out-loud comedy, or a magical Christmas pantomime, Aylesbury Waterside Theatre offers something for everyone.
