Bampton Garden Plants is an established retail nursery based in Bampton, West Oxfordshire.
They are an independent family run business. Starting off as a small barn, selling the odd plant to local retail customers, the Gooddy family have been growing quality hedging and hardy nursery stock there since 1979.
And this experienced family-run business has developed into a 25-acre nursery site, with a passion for plants, and with friendly and knowledgeable staff that are always happy to help you ﬁnd the plants you need or give you the advice you require.
Today, they pride themselves on having a fantastic range of plants, trees, specimen shrubs and bedding to suit any size garden, small or large. With stunning seasonal displays and a wealth of large specimens, herbaceous perennials and home-grown shrubs, there is much inspiration at Bampton Garden Plants.

Set amongst some beautiful botanical plants, Bampton Garden Plants Cafe is a must-visit. They pride themselves on cooking and baking everything from scratch using fresh ingredients. All their meals are freshly made in-house, with delicious and seasonal weekly specials.
The Sundries and Garden Essentials shop offers everything any gardener will ever need to grow and propagate. Whether it be tools for the job, fertiliser to feed, compost to enrich, weeds and pests to kill, seeds to sow, pots, plant supports, decorative baskets to hang, they have it covered.
The centre offers a selection of metal and wooden furniture, including; bistro sets, benches, arches, arbours & BBQ shelters, water features, garden décor and lighting, BBQ’s and firepits, and even mirrors, wind spinners and chimes.
Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 5.00pm
Sunday from 10.00am to 4.00pm
The centre is open all year round except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Years Day and Easter Sunday.
The centre is located on Buckland Road, on the outskirts of Bampton Village. It is approximately a 30-minute drive from both Oxford and Swindon. Take the A420 to Buckland, then turn off onto Buckland Road, follow the road to Bampton. Free parking is available.
Take the no. 19 bus from either Carterton or Witney to Bampton, and it’s then just a short walk from the village.
The centre is on a good cycle route, and very popular with cycle groups. It has a large covered bike rack in the car park.
