About Henley Leisure Centre
Henley Leisure Centre offers the local community a large range of facilities including a 50 station gym, 25m swimming pool, separate cycling and fitness class studio with over 20 classes per week, 4 court badminton hall, 2 squash courts, children’s swimming lessons, martial arts and 5-a-side football.
It’s easy to find and only a short drive away from; Reading, Marlow, Shiplake, Sonning Common, Nettlebed, Peppard, Wargrave and Wallingford. And with ample free parking available, the centre is proud to serve the community and always make members and guests feel welcome.
Our fully equipped, air-conditioned gym offers a range of fitness equipment for everyone. Our members can choose from cardiovascular machines such as treadmills and rowers, resistance equipment including free weights and dedicated stretching areas and fitness aids such as Swiss balls.
The gym has recently received new gym equipment, which includes treadmills, excite bikes, Concept 2 rowers, Synchro X-trainers, dumbells up to 38kg, and a multipower smith machine.
Whether you want to improve your technique, get fit, meet new friends, compete or have fun, you’re sure to find a pool session that you’ll love.
The pool is 25 metres long, with 4 lanes and a changing village located next to the poolside.
Swimming lessons are delivered on a rolling programme by friendly, fully qualified teachers. This allows pupils to join at any stage and progress at their own pace.
The studio is bright with mirrored walls and fully air-conditioned. It has a powerful sound system to ensure you are pushing hard through your class. The centre offers 28 classes a week, ranging from cardio, circuits, dance, cycling and yoga.
Racquet sports are a great way to stay fit and have a catch up with friends at the same time. Courts may be booked for play during centre opening times, and racquets are available to hire. Choose from badminton (4 courts) or squash (2 courts).
The leisure centre is host to the Henley Squash and Racketball Club – with internal Leagues & Ladders and matches against other clubs in Oxfordshire & Berkshire.
Sauna and steam room
There is a sauna cabin and steam room located on the poolside that’s open during public swimming sessions.
