The Restaurant
Worton Kitchen Garden offers a seasonal, hyper-local menu that showcases the freshest ingredients from its own farm and a small network of trusted local suppliers. Every dish is prepared by Chef and Baker Simon, whose focus on flavour, freshness and nutrition ensures food that’s both wholesome and satisfying. Inspired by just-picked produce, sun-ripened fruits, foraged finds and locally hunted ingredients, the menu changes with the seasons and welcomes all diets—with options for vegetarians, vegans, pescatarians and meat-eaters alike. Guests are invited to relax and enjoy their meal in a warm and inviting restaurant space nestled in the Oxfordshire countryside.
The Garden
A beautiful, slightly madcap cottage garden, Worton’s landscape has been evolving since 2005 into a thriving and productive sanctuary. Combining vibrant flowers, herbs and vegetables with orchards, greenhouses and poly-tunnels, the garden supports both resilience and creativity in the kitchen. Small-scale animal husbandry adds to the charm, making it not just a working farm but a peaceful, secluded escape on the edge of Oxford. Every part of the garden plays a role in nourishing the table, making the connection between soil and plate both visible and deliciously tangible.
The Bakery
Since 2017, Worton’s wood-fired bakery has been crafting wild, naturally leavened bread using 100% organic flour. From before dawn each day, baker Simon prepares loaves and cakes that fill the space with irresistible aromas and land fresh on the shelves by morning. Whether it’s a rustic sourdough, a spiced fruit loaf, or a sweet treat alongside your coffee, the bakery’s offerings are made with the same dedication to quality and sustainability found throughout the garden.
The Shop
Worton’s farm shop is a feast for the senses, brimming with colour, flavour and the best of the season. It’s stocked with freshly harvested fruit, vegetables, salads and herbs grown just metres away, along with pickled and preserved produce made on-site. The shop also features a curated range of organic goods from like-minded local producers. Baskets are regularly filled with wood-fired sourdough bread, handmade quiches, savoury tarts and pastries—making it the perfect place to stock up on provisions or pick up a ready-made treat.
