As pumpkin picking season approaches, families across the UK are heading to the fields in search of the perfect pumpkin to carve — and Oxfordshire’s Millets Farm has just been named one of the very best places to visit.

Outdoor Toys has revealed its annual ranking of the UK’s must-visit pumpkin patches for 2025, analysing entry prices, annual Google searches, and Instagram posts to determine the most popular spots for autumn adventures.

According to the new research, Millets Farm Centre in Frilford, near Abingdon, ranks joint second nationwide — climbing from third place last year — and is one of the country’s most photographed and searched-for pumpkin destinations.

The Oxfordshire favourite achieved an impressive score of 7.72 out of 10, sharing second place with Lathcoats Farm in Essex, and boasting the highest number of annual Google searches among the top three (474,600) as well as 24,400 Instagram posts. Entry remains affordable at £3.00 per person for adults and children alike.

Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire retained the top spot for the third consecutive year with a score of 9.49 out of 10, offering free entry and strong online appeal, appearing in 24,600 Instagram posts and drawing nearly 246,700 Google searches over the past year.

Meanwhile, Lathcoats Farm made an immediate impact as a new entry, debuting straight into joint second place with 131,100 annual searches and 1,725 Instagram posts.

The research also found that eight of the UK’s top ten pumpkin patches — including South Farm in Rodmell, East Sussex, and Orway Porch Farm in Devon — charge no entry fee for adults or children, underlining the growing accessibility of family days out during the autumn season.

Tulleys Farm leads the social media rankings, appearing in a total of 28,800 Instagram posts.

With its picture-perfect fields, fun-filled atmosphere, and strong social media following, Millets Farm continues to cement its place as one of the country’s favourite autumn destinations.

Whether it’s a day of pumpkin picking, enjoying the farm shop, or soaking in the golden countryside, visitors are flocking to this Oxfordshire gem for a taste of seasonal magic.
