The Indie Oxford Christmas Market is back on Saturday 29 November, from 11.00am to 5.00pm at the Tap Social Taproom in Botley – bringing together Oxfordshire’s vibrant independent community for a festive day of shopping, food, and family fun.

Visitors can look forward to a joyful atmosphere filled with independent market stalls, freshly made Tap Social pizza, craft beers and hot drinks, alongside kids’ activities and a festive raffle. Entry is completely free, making it the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season.

The market stalls will feature Indie Oxford members selling a wide range of locally made gifts — from candles, skincare and ceramics to jewellery and art — ideal for those looking to shop small this Christmas.

Chiara Nunzet, Indie Oxford Event Manager, said:

“The Indie Oxford Christmas Market is one of our favourite events of the year – it’s the perfect way to celebrate the festive season, support brilliant local businesses, and enjoy a truly community-spirited day out. Every purchase made with an indie has a real impact, helping to sustain and grow our vibrant local economy.”

The event is designed to celebrate Oxfordshire’s independent businesses while encouraging residents to buy local this Christmas and contribute to a thriving community.

Tess Taylor, co-founder and director at Tap Social Movement, said:

“The Indie Oxford Christmas Market is one of my favourite events. The Tap Room is transformed into a winter wonderland and it’s the perfect opportunity to get some Christmas shopping sorted with gifts from independent makers and local suppliers.”

Located at the Tap Social Taproom in Botley, the venue is easily accessible by bus, car, or bike. Buses stop nearby at Minns Industrial Estate, with frequent services from the Osney Island stop on Botley Road. Drivers can park at Seacourt Park & Ride or West Way Shopping Centre, both a short walk away, while cyclists can use the available cycle racks.

This year’s market promises to be a celebration of creativity, community and Christmas spirit – a must-visit event for anyone who loves to shop local and support Oxfordshire’s independent scene.
