£20,000 fund launched to support Oxford’s grassroots music scene

A new £20,000 Grassroots Music Fund has been launched by Oxford City Council to support musicians, promoters and music venues across the city during 2026/27.

The fund will provide two £5,000 grants for music venues, alongside around 10 grants averaging £1,000 for musicians and promoters. The funding is intended to help reduce costs, support live performances and rehearsals, and encourage more musical activity across Oxford.

Applications opened on 17 August, with a deadline of 9.00am on Monday 12 October 2026.
