Oxford residents are being asked to put their bins out the evening before collection as temporary changes are introduced to waste services during this week’s extreme heat.

Oxford City Council and ODS have confirmed that collection crews will begin work earlier than usual, with waste and recycling collections starting from 5am to help protect staff working in high temperatures.

The temporary arrangements are designed to safeguard the health and wellbeing of collection crews while ensuring essential waste services continue with as little disruption as possible.

Residents are therefore encouraged to place their bins out the night before their scheduled collection day to ensure they are collected.
