Oxford’s Professional Orchestra
The City of Oxford Orchestra was founded in 1965 and is committed to providing live classical music of the highest quality to the widest possible audience.
The Orchestra has played to acclaim in most European capital cities whilst also providing concerts throughout the year in some of Oxford’s beautiful historical buildings – in particular, Sir Christopher Wren’s stunning Sheldonian Theatre.
