To complete the line-up, there is the Community Brass, the Training Band, the Junior Band and the Big Band.
Wantage Silver Band provide entertainment to local audiences through concerts and open-air events such as summer fetes. It also supports local Civic events and leads parades for organisations, for example, Scouts/Guides and the Royal British Legion.
On other occasions, you may see the band involved in carnival processions, while local Churches may call on it to provide accompaniment for hymn singing at special events. The band is also available for private parties and weddings.
Wantage Silver Band is a Registered Charity dedicated to education in music by practice and performance. For a modest subscription, anyone of any age can learn to play an instrument and work together as a band.
