Now in its 13th year, the festival brings together a collection of short films exploring the ocean, from extraordinary expeditions and encounters with marine life to the people working to protect the seas.
This year’s programme includes The Raftsmen, a 43-minute film telling the remarkable story of a six-month Pacific Ocean expedition on three handmade wooden rafts, alongside Granny Grommets, Tides of Life and other ocean-themed films.

- This competition is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
- The promoter of this competition is The Oxford Magazine.
- One winner will receive one pair of tickets to the Ocean Film Festival World Tour at the Amey Theatre, Abingdon, on Friday 09 October 2026.
- The prize includes theatre admission only. Additional charges may apply for selected activities, food, drinks and other purchases at the event.
- The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any alternative prize.
- Entry is free and open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
- Entries must be submitted using one of the official competition entry methods published by The Oxford Magazine. Only one entry per person, per competition channel (newsletter, Facebook and Instagram) is permitted.
- Entries must be received by 11.59pm on Sunday 27 September 2026. Late, incomplete or invalid entries will not be be accepted.
- Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received before the closing date. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Winners will be contacted using the details provided when entering the competition and must respond on the day of notification. If a winner does not respond within this period, or the notification cannot be delivered, the prize will be forfeited and another winner may be selected.
- To fulfil the prize, the winner’s contact details may be shared with Foodies Festival or its appointed representatives. Personal information will not otherwise be shared with third parties except where necessary to administer the competition or as required by law.
- Winners are responsible for arranging their own transport and any other costs not expressly included in the prize.
- The Oxford Magazine reserves the right to publish the winner’s name on its website and social media channels.
- The Oxford Magazine reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify any entrant who breaches these terms or attempts to manipulate the competition, including through the use of automated systems, multiple identities or any other unfair means.
- Entries containing offensive, unlawful or inappropriate content may be disqualified at the sole discretion of The Oxford Magazine.
