The Energy Superhub Oxford (ESO) is celebrating its first anniversary of reducing carbon emissions and encouraging the uptake of EVs in the region, playing an essential role in Oxford’s path to net zero.
The charging hub will initially offer fast and ultra-rapid charging for 42 vehicles simultaneously at Oxford’s Redbridge Park and Ride, powered entirely by renewable energy.
Works begin to install a high-powered underground cable that will deliver electricity to the UK’s largest public EV charging superhub at Redbridge Park & Ride.
The government-backed project integrates energy storage, electric vehicle (EV) charging, low carbon heating and smart energy management technologies to decarbonise Oxford by 2040.
The UK’s largest public EV charging hub of 38 fast and ultra-rapid chargers will deliver 100% renewable energy to EV drivers day and night.
