Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park first opened to the public in 2014 as ‘Green Dragon Rare Breeds Farm & Eco Centre’ – an environmentally friendly, rare breed farm park for the local community to enjoy.

Through fun and adventure, they work together to care for the local landscape, conserve native habitats and protect the natural environment for future generations. These innovations link with horticultural wilding programmes, the conservation of rare breeds, sustainable farming practices, and education on British and European wildlife.

As a fun and accessible open farm, they provide the community with a space to have adventures, encouraging a connection with nature and inspiring local change for a happier, healthier future. Through immersive experiences, family-fun events, and hands-on workshops, they engage and educate in a relaxed way, hoping to inspire care and awareness for natural habitats.

Located at the main entrance, the dog-friendly café welcomes you to pop in and enjoy a range of drinks and delicious freshly baked goods, including cakes, traybakes, and savoury treats, while the Farm Shop offers a wonderful array of toys and gifts, as well as a fantastic selection of hand-picked, locally sourced food and drink. From delicious fresh bread to chutneys, chocolate and fun farm gifts to homemade cakes and bakes – there’s something to put a smile on everyone’s face.

Looking for a private venue hire that can accommodate your meeting, conference, class or event, surrounded by the beautiful countryside? The Eco Centre offers a large room filled with natural light, with space for groups of up to 80 and all the necessary AV equipment.

Open every Wednesday to Sunday, from 10.00am to 5.30pm during term time. Open all week during school holidays, bank holidays and seasonal events. Closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.​ The Farm Shop & Café are open to all and do not require ticketed entry, so stop by to discover tasty local produce and children’s gifts and enjoy freshly made cakes and pastries.
