Based on a 23-acre site in North Aston, they offer a wide range of retail services including, but not limited to, a plant centre, a cafe, and outdoor furniture and accessories. Nicholsons also provides a range of professional services, including Garden Design, Garden Construction, Garden Maintenance, Forestry and Arboriculture.
The 23-acre site at Nicholsons contains a large selection of trees, including bare root, root ball, container-grown, standard and specimen trees in ornamental and native species. Alongside the trees, the range of plants extends to all the usual suspects – shrubs, a small herbaceous collection, climbers, fruit and bigger screening plants. As soon as you get to your destination, you can tell that the company takes plants and customers seriously. As a team, they are passionate about horticulture and simply love sharing their knowledge. Planting a tree is truly one of the most important decisions in life and needs to be well advised. They are there to help.
The Yurt at Nicholsons provides simple and surprising delights under canvas in the tree nursery in North Aston. They bring fresh and local ingredients to your plate with a simple and honest cuisine. It’s a real celebration of food. They offer a tasteful selection of organic, fresh, and local food in the form of breakfasts, sharing platters and light lunches designed to leave you feeling energised for the rest of the day.

Following years of landscape design experience and driven by a team of garden designers, Nicholsons has developed a stunning range of furniture collections that can be adapted to fit any garden. They take pride in the furniture being practical, elegant, comfortable, stylish and timeless. They have also developed a subtle lighting range designed to highlight structural elements in your garden. The Rosara range of furniture celebrates all the features of a garden using furniture, lighting and accessories.

Nicholson’s construction teams work closely with both our in-house design team and many other renowned designers. They collaborate to finalise plans and set up projects, giving the customer a seamless and effective journey. Their portfolio includes many forms of paving, dry-stone walling and retaining walls, water features, timberwork and drainage. We can cater to suit the needs of your landscape.
Nicholsons have a thriving team of maintenance gardeners with garden renovation experts offering specialist advice. They offer many services, including year-round and one-off maintenance bookings. They can plan a maintenance schedule for your garden and allocate the best staff for the job in hand. They will ensure that the garden continues to look at its best and to make sure that none of the formative trimming and pruning is missed.
For many years, Nicholsons’ core business has been our forestry services including planting, establishment and aftercare of new woodlands. From initial site checks and planning through to design, planting and aftercare, this is a principal area of their expertise. They have a range of qualified teams to complete different operations.
Nicholsons provides clients with highly qualified and equipped teams to undertake all major aspects of arboricultural operations and management. All tree works carried out to a British Standard BS3998 and conducted in accordance with the Working at Height Regulations 2005 and practices detailed in the HSE document AFAG 401. They can manage all Felling License applications on your behalf.
