Nestled comfortably in the Oxfordshire countryside, near the picturesque village of Great Tew, Soho Farmhouse has created a euphoric rural retreat. It features multiple spaces transformed through design into a little Eden that’s perfectly suited for pleasurable rest and relaxation.
Stay the night in a lakeside cabin, our original Cotswold-stone Farm House, the four-bedroom Farm Cottage, or a Piglet – accessed through the gatehouse and down a long country drive.
Combining the American cabin lifestyle and timeless, English country home, each space brings warmth and cosy placement through open, rustic environments.
The Farm cottage and farmhouse is an extension of that seamless, warming blend, offering a familiarity through traditional Belfast sinks, freestanding baths, patterned fabrics and hessian rugs, delivering a complete unity to each room.
The cabins distressed painted walls brings an enhanced element of traditional, rugged remoteness that allows you to blissfully remove yourself in the evening and cut off from the outside world.
Bedrooms are only available to Soho Friends and Soho House members. Booking a bedroom also gives you access to the House.
From Japanese grill dishes at Pen Yen to Hay Barn’s wood-oven pizzas, there are lots of places to eat and drink, whether it’s your first coffee of the day or last cocktail of the night.
The Main Barn is the central hub of the farm, serving food and drink all day. On the mezzanine, Comfy Farm has sofas and an open fireplace, while Fancy Farm is a more formal setting for lunch or dinner. The hay barn is for pizza, pasta, fish and meat from a wood oven.
The barns unleash a charismatic burst of life through the sumptuous blue, red and green materialled furniture, open fireplaces and exposed natural wood and brick flooring and walls.
Blake’s Kitchen Bakery in the Farm Yard – serving fresh bread every day, including sourdough loaves and cinnamon buns. And Pen Yen – offering meat and fish from a robata grill, buns and sashimi in a bar that doubles as a workspace during the week.
Get fit or find balance at Soho Active. There are more than 80 classes in a weekly timetable – from House HIIT, yoga, sculpt and barre, to TRX training on an outdoor rig. There’s a range of equipment, including treadmills, rowers, squat racks, a boxing ring and Peloton bikes.
There’s also a free weights area, and personal trainers are on hand to help create tailored workout plans to suit you and your goals. The indoor-outdoor pool at the Boathouse is heated year-round and open every day.
Try your hand at clay pigeon shooting, fine-tune your serve on one of the tennis courts or borrow a boat from the Boathouse pontoon and do a few laps of the lake. Visit the stable and book a pony ride, private lesson or a leisurely hack around the farm.
From the throws in the cabins to the hand-glazed pottery you’ll find in the restaurants, Soho Home sells pieces from around the farm. The Soho Home store also features a range of limited-edition pieces that you can shop before they arrive online, as well as interiors from around the farm, while Store X offers designer pieces by the likes of Ganni, Maria Tash and Veja.
