About Thame
Thame is a market town and civil parish in Oxfordshire, about 13 miles east of the city of Oxford. It derives its toponym from the River Thame which flows along the north side of the town. It was granted a market charter in 1215, and markets have been held on a Tuesday since that time. The town is one of the most frequently used filming locations for Midsomer Murders, the popular ITV series. The Thame edition also covers the hamlet of Moreton south of the town.
