About Pumpkin Festival 2025 at Hadsham Farm

Put on your boots and head to the pumpkin picking festival at Hadsham Farm near Banbury, where it’s all about the pumpkins – growing them, picking them, eating them, and celebrating them!

The Pumpkin Festival 2024 includes the following:

The Pumpkin Pick
Collect a sledge and head to the pumpkin patch to choose your perfect pumpkin. There are several varieties and sizes, which are priced between £1.00 and £10.00 each.

The Pumpkin Barn
Here, you can collect a carving kit to transform your pumpkins. Please note that pumpkin carving can be dangerous and is only for adults over 16. Under 16s can get involved in designing the pumpkin and removing the inside pulp and seeds. There will also be pens available to decorate your pumpkin. Parents/carers are advised that some pens are not washable and may stain, so please dress accordingly.

Crafting Area
Keep busy in the craft area, which includes colouring and decorating pumpkins.

The Grocer’s Display
Find a selection of carefully picked pumpkins that are best for eating, perfect for those who don’t want to pick one from the field.

The Pumpkin Munchery
The Pumpkin cooks have been hard at work in the munchery, busy magicking up delicious pumpkin dishes. You can chat with the cooks, taste the delicious dishes (from pumpkin soup to pumpkin cake to pumpkin pickle) and take away new ideas for pumpkin feasting.

Goblin Hunt
It is well known that every pumpkin patch is plagued by Pumpkin Goblins searching for and stealing pumpkins. The Goblins are terrible, messy creatures, and they cause a lot of damage. The farmers spend hours each night chasing them away. We ask our visitors to help in the mission, and you may even catch sight of one.

The Goblin Launch
Goblins are notoriously hard to catch. But when caught, the farmers launch them in the Trebuchet (a type of catapult). This doesn’t hurt the Goblins; it gets rid of them for a short while!.

Spooky Sensory Trail
Use your five senses to explore the wooded area on the farm. The trail is approximately 400m long; although it is flat, off-road pushchairs are advised.

Build A Scarecrow
Help scare the Goblins away by teaming up with your friends/family to build a scarecrow. Don‘t forget to take a scarecrow selfie!

The Pumpkin Bale Maze
Find your way through the maze and find the multi-coloured pumpkins. Designed for smaller children.

The Golden Pumpkin
Every day, a Golden Pumpkin appears on the farm. If you beat the Goblins in finding it, you win your family a prize!

Indoor sandpit play area and outdoor playground.
