About Hadsham Farm, Banbury
Hadsham Farm is located in the rolling countryside of North Oxfordshire at the northern edge of the Cotswolds.
The Taylor family have been farming here for over a century, with each generation handing down the time-honoured methods they still practice today.
Wykeham and Fiona took over the family farm from Wykeham’s parents 50 years ago and have spent the intervening years modernising farming practices, creating three lakes and planting thousands of trees for wildlife. Today, the farm is a mix of arable and livestock. Fiona also has a successful business as a Medical Herbalist.
Since University, youngest son David has come back to work on the farm – he has brought fresh new ideas to the family business, such as the Container Storage and Spring Lambing. He is chief combine harvester operator in the summer, a specialist metalworker and also installs wood-burning stoves in the winter.
In 2012, oldest son Charlie married Sarah on the family farm. Along with David, they then decided to open the venue up to other couples. Hadsham Farm has been hosting weddings receptions ever since, and they are enjoying helping people create unique countryside weddings.
Five years later, as well as continuing to host weddings, Hadsham Farm now opens to the public for three weeks over Easter to allow people to share the magic of lambing on their local farm. The open farm gives a chance for people of all ages to see lambs being born and even cuddle an orphan lamb. They also have a chick handling area, pet goats and a playground with a sensory walk.
Venue hire
Located in a secluded Cotswold valley in north Oxfordshire, yet only 10 minutes from Banbury, Hadsham Farm provides a stunning permanent Tipi venue suitable for 100-150 guests (max. 200) between the months of May and September.
As well as being most suited to wedding receptions, the site can also be hired for private parties and corporate events. They offer exclusive use of the ‘dry hire’ venue for you to create a truly bespoke event.
