Spiced Roots is a family-run Caribbean restaurant located on Oxford’s Cowley Road, serving traditional island dishes made with fresh herbs and real depth of flavour — no powdered seasoning, ever.
Since opening their doors in 2016, their mission has been to showcase the richness and diversity of Caribbean cuisine in a setting that reflects the warmth and soul of the islands.
The menu features classic dishes such as Trini doubles, jerk chicken, oxtail, curry goat and more — all crafted with care, using fresh ingredients and traditional Caribbean cooking methods. With over 100 Caribbean rums behind the bar, the space offers more than just a meal — it’s an immersive experience.

They’re also proud to be part of Oxford’s diverse and vibrant community. Located on Cowley Road, we welcome a mix of students, locals and visitors every day — and we’re passionate about creating a space where everyone feels included and represented. They actively support community-led events, collaborate with local organisations and aim to uplift Caribbean culture through food and connection.
