RWK Goodman celebrates success in multiple legal directories

RWK Goodman has been named a leading law firm in multiple legal directories, with 40 lawyers individually recognised by Chambers and Partners and 25 lawyers named ‘leading’ partners and associates by The Legal 500.

Every year, The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners directories conduct the largest and most thorough analysis of the UK’s legal market, interviewing around 25,000 lawyers and their clients and then ranking firms and their lawyers by legal discipline and location. Both are considered indispensable guides for the buyers of legal services.

In The Legal 500, RWK Goodman received six top-tier rankings, with four of these in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury (South West and South East), one in Family (South West) and one in Contentious Trusts and Probate (South West). The firm achieved 28 rankings overall, with an improved ranking in Commercial Litigation: mid-market (London), and new rankings in two areas, Transport – Travel (London) and Crime, fraud and licensing – Fraud: civil (London).

Tracy Norris-Evans and Katharine Mortimer have been included in Legal 500’s ‘Hall of Fame’, in Clinical Negligence (South East) and Corporate (South West), respectively. This tier highlights individuals who have received constant praise from their clients for continued excellence.

This year also saw a record 25% rise in the number of RWK Goodman lawyers ranked by The Legal 500, with half of newly recognised representing ‘next generation’ talent at the firm.

In Chambers and Partners, across the UK and the Global High Net Worth guides, the firm and individual lawyers have been ranked in a total of 21 practice areas across London, the South and nationally.

Eight department top band ratings were achieved. Two in Clinical Negligence (South West and Thames Valley); two in Personal Injury (also South West and Thames Valley); another two in Private Wealth (Somerset and Swindon), one in Family (South West), and a UK-wide top ranking in Sport: Horse Racing & Equestrian. RWK Goodman also achieved an improved ranking in Corporate/M&A (South West), a sign of the team’s growing reputation linked closely to its presence in the firm‘s Bristol office, which opened earlier this year.

40 RWK Goodman lawyers have been individually recognised in Chambers and Partners as Leading Individuals (33 Partners), Up & Coming Partners (1 Partner), and Associates to Watch (6 associates).

Graham Street, Managing Partner, said: “The number of individual and practice area recommendations across The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners is a testament to the hard work and talent of all our teams. We are proud to see RWK Goodman’s expertise recognised across areas we’ve traditionally excelled in as well as new areas of expertise that have emerged in this period of record growth for our firm”.

RWK Goodman provides a comprehensive range of legal services from corporate and commercial, clinical negligence and personal injury to family and private clients and advises in several key sectors.

The firm has offices along the M4, including Oxford and Thame, with over 500 people. Clients include individuals through to multi-national FTSE companies. It is a founding member of the international network of independent law firms, Interleges.
