WTR Group, a leading provider of products, services and solutions for the water and wastewater industries, has completed the acquisition of Oxford-based SI Pumps.
The Swedish business arrived in the UK last year through the acquisition of Euroflo, and this latest deal furthers WTR Group’s UK presence, reinforcing its commitment to providing comprehensive water and wastewater solutions in the UK and across Northern Europe.
Founded in 1986, SI Pumps’ expertise in pumps and pumping systems complements WTR Group’s existing portfolio, offering a broader range of products and services to its customers. WTR is backed by Aspira Partners, a private equity investor with a focus on smaller to mid-sized, founder-driven entities in the Nordics. WTR Group was advised on the deal by a team at Knights.
Khashayar Nikavar, CEO of WTR Group, said: “We are excited to welcome SI Pumps to WTR Group. Their strong market presence, customer intimacy and technical expertise align perfectly with our vision, and we look forward to working with the whole team at SI Pumps to support our joint further growth.
“This is our second time working with Knights in the UK, and we value the relationship that we have built with them. Gareth Burge, Joe Rollins, and the rest of the Knights team guided us expertly through the legal process and were always on hand to deal with any queries that we had and to keep matters progressing efficiently. We look forward to working with them going forward as we expand our UK presence.”
Gareth Burge, Corporate Partner at Knights, said: “We are delighted to have completed our second deal for WTR Group in the UK, and are really pleased to see the group go from strength to strength as they build on their market-leading position in Northern Europe. We look forward to working with Khashayar and his team going forward as WTR further develops its business in the UK.”

The partnership gives us opportunities to leverage their network and capabilities and to continue to grow SI Pumps, and we look forward to the opportunities this partnership will bring for SI and WTR.”
