One-Eighty has been named Oxfordshire Business of the Year 2025, the top honour at this year’s Oxfordshire Business Awards. The mission-led organisation also took home Employer of the Year, making it a double win on the night.

Founded in Oxford 14 years ago, One-Eighty delivers specialist support for young people struggling with school attendance, mental health, and behavioural challenges.

The awards recognise their impact on young people across the region and the strong workplace culture the team has built.

Judges praised the organisation’s people-first ethos, commitment to staff development, and innovative wellbeing support. One-Eighty was previously a finalist in the Employer category and has since focused on strengthening career pathways and investing in team growth.

CEO and Founder Susie Besant said: “Being recognised as Employer of the Year is a huge honour. It reflects the care, investment, and culture we’ve built over the past 14 years.

“And winning Business of the Year? That’s something else entirely. It’s not about walking up on a stage – it’s about what the recognition means. It honours the hard work of every team member and our bold vision to ensure every young person gets the support they need.”

The Business of the Year award, sponsored by Darke and Taylor, is the most prestigious prize at the Oxfordshire Business Awards. One-Eighty was also a finalist in the Charity and Community Award category.

With over 20,000 young people in Oxfordshire currently missing or persistently absent from school, One-Eighty continues to expand its reach and impact in the community.
