Sudeley Castle will be transformed into an autumn wonderland this October as families are invited to enjoy a host of Halloween-themed events set against the historic backdrop of the Cotswolds landmark.
Running from Saturday 25 October to Sunday 02 November, the castle will host its annual Pumpkin Trail, where visitors follow a map through the grounds to uncover pumpkins marked with witches’ symbols hidden among the Queen’s Garden, the Tithe Barn, and other atmospheric corners. Children who complete the trail will receive a Halloween treat.
On Halloween day itself (Friday 31 October), Sudeley will step back in time with Tudor All Hallow’s Eve, an immersive experience exploring the darker side of history. Ghostly figures from the Tudor past will share chilling tales, while visitors learn about the eerie customs and superstitions that once shaped the season of the dead.

Families and history enthusiasts alike can expect ghost stories, macabre traditions, and Tudor mischief. Fancy dress is warmly encouraged.
Later that evening, the castle will host Phantoms & Fireworks, a brand-new after-dark celebration featuring a Ghouls Skool Disco, fireworks, and family fun. Tickets for the evening start at £12.50 per child.
Beyond Halloween, autumn offers one of the most magical times to explore Sudeley’s gardens. Visitors can wander beneath arches of fiery foliage, admire crimson vines clinging to centuries-old walls, and enjoy the soft amber light that settles across the 1,200-acre estate.

For younger adventurers, Sudeley’s castle-themed play fort provides the perfect finale to a day of festivities. Complete with a 10-piece assault course, slides, and a zipline, it offers plenty of thrills while parents relax with a warming drink or seasonal milkshake from the Pavilion Café.
General admission includes access to both the Pumpkin Trail and Tudor Halloween experiences, while evening tickets for Phantoms & Fireworks are sold separately.
Full ticket details, including family and concession options, are available on Sudeley Castle’s website.
