Audley Shiplake Meadows, the luxury retirement village in Henley-on-Thames, is preparing to welcome residents and the wider community to its annual Christmas Fair on Sunday 23 November, running from 11.00am to 3.00pm.

The seasonal celebration, which is free to attend, invites property owners, friends and family, and local visitors to enjoy a festive afternoon in the heart of the village.

Guests will be greeted by Christmas carols drifting through the grounds, creating a warm and traditional atmosphere as the holiday season approaches.

Festive treats, including mulled wine and mince pies, will be available throughout the event, offering visitors the chance to indulge while exploring a variety of stalls showcasing local produce and handmade gifts.

From artisan foods to crafted decorations, the fair aims to support local makers while helping attendees find thoughtful gifts—or perhaps something special for themselves.

The village, home to 65 properties, also features the Audley Club, which offers residents and members access to luxury facilities such as a swimming pool, library, restaurant, bar/bistro and spa.

Alongside these amenities, Audley Shiplake Meadows provides flexible care services that can be tailored to individual needs, reinforcing its reputation as both a supportive and vibrant community.

Curtis Johnson, General Manager at Audley Shiplake Meadows, said:

“We’re very excited to be opening the doors at Audley Shiplake Meadows, and welcoming people to celebrate the start of the festive season. With mulled wine and mince pies on offer, people will be able to browse for gifts or even pick out something for themselves.

“It’s a fantastic event, to bring the local community together, and we’re all looking forward to it. There is no better way to kick off the holiday season and all are welcome.”

With its blend of festive entertainment, local crafts and community spirit, the Christmas Fair continues to be a highlight in the village’s calendar. Visitors of all ages are invited to step inside, soak up the seasonal atmosphere and enjoy a relaxed start to the holiday period.
