About Sweet Charity
Maidenhead Musical Comedy Society presents… Sweet Charity
Based on the book by Neil Simon, Sweet Charity is a Tony Award-winning musical and follows the story of Charity Hope Valentine, a gullible, hopeless romantic who has big dreams.
Trapped in the tawdry world of the Fan-Dango Ballroom – a taxi-dance-hall, where the girls are paid per song to dance with men, but Charity aspires to greater things. One of the most famous shows by legendary director/choreographer Bob Fosse, every audience is destined to fall in love with Charity’s limitless spirit, as she lives life “hopefully ever after.”
Sweet Charity features the toe-tapping hits such as ‘Big Spender’, ‘If My Friends Could See Me Now’ and ‘The Rhythm of Life’.
Will Charity find true love at last? Find out by buying your tickets today and letting MMCS put a tingle in your fingers and a tingle in your feet!
This amateur production of Sweet Charity is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC.
