Parents and carers of children born between 01 September 2022 and 31 August 2023 can now apply for a primary school place for September 2027.

Applications should be submitted online via www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/primaryadmissions.

Councillor Sean Gaul, Oxfordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Education and Young People’s Services, encouraged families to name up to four preferred schools when applying. He said this would not affect their chances of securing their first preference but would reduce the risk of being allocated a place at a school not included on their list.

Parents and carers are also advised to apply before the deadline, as late applications are processed later and are less likely to secure a place at a preferred school.

The deadline for applications is 15 January 2027.

Families will be notified of their application outcome on National Offer Day, 16 April 2027.

Almost 94 per cent of children in Oxfordshire were offered their first-choice primary school last year.
