World Heritage site Blenheim Palace in Woodstock is the magical location for this family-friendly fun run with a beautiful lakeside off-road section.
There are three events to choose from: The main 7k, 4 miles for buggies and wheelchairs and 1 mile for under 15s. You can even take part with your dog.
The beautiful and undulating route takes you past the palace and over the Grand Bridge before taking an ‘off-road’ lakeside path (7k only) before re-joining the main path around the Palace grounds.
The route offers a challenge for experienced runners, while newbies and beginners can choose to jog or walk to take time to enjoy the spectacular surroundings.
The 7k course is suitable for all ages and abilities. In addition to the main 7k, you can take part with your dog, 4 miles for buggies and wheelchairs and 1 mile for the under 15s. There will be a separate race on the 7k route for runners with dogs.
The wheelchair and buggy event will differ slightly and take place over a 4-mile course following the trails around the grounds of Blenheim Palace. The 4-mile route misses the off-road lakeside section making it suitable for wheelchairs and participants pushing buggies.
The 1-mile race is for under 15s, starting and finishing before the other events so that parents can watch their children before they go on to participate in the 4k or 7k run. The Junior Race will start at 10.15am and the 7km and 4-mile races at 11.00am.
All competitors will receive a medal, and there will be prizes for the winners and trophies for the fastest teams. Enter your team’s name, and the top 4 times will be calculated.
Charity place registration fee: £15.00
Fundraising target: £200
Please see important ticketing information below.
Runners are encouraged to fundraise for their chosen charity. You can select from the ones on the entry form (or let them know yourself) or nominate the charity of your choice for fundraising.
You are welcome to bring teams and encourage fundraisers to participate.
Race entry entitles you to enter the palace grounds and enjoy the surrounding Parkland after the race.
Please note that there will be photography and film taken at the event.
The organisers need marshals and stewards to make sure that runners get around the course safely. If you can help point participants in the right direction and support them on their way, please volunteer to help marshal on the day. You would only be asked to help for the morning and have the rest of the day to enjoy at Blenheim Palace. Some refreshments will be available at Race HQ for volunteer marshals.
Even if you’re not taking part in the 2023 Blenheim 7K Fun Run, you can still do your part for a good cause by making a donation.
