A new illuminated trail for 2025
The Illuminated Trail at Blenheim Palace returns bigger, better, and brighter than ever – featuring spectacular works by international and local artists.
It’s a place where new memories are made as a multitude of glowing lights and seasonal sounds fill the air with festive magic. Firmly established as one of the UK’s leading illuminated trails, this year’s event promises an unforgettable experience for families and friends alike — including a magical glimpse of Father Christmas along the way.
Stroll through the picture-perfect gardens of Blenheim Palace, transformed into a winter wonderland of colour and light. Discover heart-shaped arches glittering in the moonlight, glowing tunnels filled with stars, and an 8-metre sphere adorned with over 20,000 moving LEDs — just some of the spectacular new displays for 2025.
Returning favourites include the dancing reflections across the Cascades and the enchanting Lakeside Walk, while the fire garden offers a moment of peaceful reflection among flickering flames and dazzling illuminations.
For the perfect finishing touch, warm up with festive food and drink in the East Courtyard, where independent street food vendors serve up indulgent seasonal treats. End your evening with a hot chocolate, spiced winter warmer, or toasted marshmallow, and share in the joy of Christmas under the stars.

The Blenheim Palace Illuminated Christmas Lights Trail takes up to 1 hour 30 minutes to complete.
Last entry onto the trail is 8.45pm on all dates except for Saturday 24, Monday 26 and Saturday 31 December when it is 7.15pm.
Prices for the Illuminated Light Trail depends on whether you visit during a peak time or an off-peak time.
Annual pass holder discounts do not apply on Saturday 06 December, Saturday 13 December, Sunday 14 December, Saturday 20 December and Sunday 21 December.
Please note that if you are purchasing Annual Pass Holder tickets, you must have a pass that is valid at the time of your Christmas visit, not just valid at the time of booking.
You’ll need to reserve your car parking space if you intend to visit the grounds before Christmas at Blenheim Palace opens at 10.00am.
Only guide dogs and registered assistance dogs are allowed within the palace or on the Illuminated Trail.
