Like many events last year, Carterton’s annual Christmas lights switch-on and the lantern parade were cancelled.
But the ministry team at the Messy Church at St John the Evangelist Church in Carterton reimagined the lantern parade with a prayer for the community - read by people from Carterton and Brize Norton - with their handmade lanterns.
This year, we can confirm that Carterton’s annual Christmas lights switch-on event, along with the lantern parade, will go ahead on Friday 03 December from 5.00pm to 8.30pm.
Expect a street fair with new stalls, crafts, gifts and refreshments, singing by the RAF Brize Norton Military Wives Choir, live music and funfair.
And, of course, Father Christmas will be in his grotto.
