About Company

Music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim

Book by George Furth

Presented by University of Oxford student company Fennec Fox Productions

Directed by Joshua Robey

‘Everything’s different, nothing’s changed. Only maybe slightly rearranged.’

Hell is other people. They’re always inviting Bobby over for dinner, always so glad to see him. On his 35th birthday, Bobby needs things to change.

Through a series of sharp comic vignettes and timeless songs, Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s kaleidoscopic musical asks whether we should grow up, give in, and learn to accept the joys and compromises of living with others.

This radical student production reimagines Company as you’ve never seen it before – featuring Sondheim’s award-winning songs Company, You Could Drive a Person Crazy, The Ladies Who Lunch, Side by Side and the iconic Being Alive.

Presented by University of Oxford student company Fennec Fox Productions and Cartesian Productions, this fresh staging brings new life to Sondheim’s legendary musical comedy about life, love and marriage.

This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International.
