Take on the challenge of Dragon Boat Racing in 2024! Get your team of 10 people and race in this stunning location at Queenford Lakes.

Maggie’s Oxford Dragon Boat Racing is a great opportunity for team building and competition between Oxford businesses and groups.

Registration fee: £500 for a team of 10

Fundraising target: £500 per team

Racing will take place between 10.00am and 3.15pm, with each team taking part in at least 3 races.

Teams are of 10 people, but you don’t have to be from the same company or group – feel free to join forces or include friends and family in your team.

Booking information

• No training is required, and a full health and safety briefing will be given to each participant on the day. 
• Every participant will be required to sign the terms and conditions before taking part.
• Dragon Boat racing is accessible to all. 
• Friends and family are very welcome to come and cheer you on!
• Refreshments will be available to buy at an additional cost.
• Medals will be provided for 3rd, 2nd and 1st places – plus a trophy for the overall winners.

Fundraising

All teams are tasked with raising at least £500. Maggie’s has orange resources (T-shirts, balloons, banners, etc.) to help you fundraise and lots of advice – from setting up a JustGiving page to things you can do in the office in the run-up to the event. Every penny raised goes to Maggie’s Oxford on the grounds of the Churchill Hospital. They provide free professional support for people with cancer and their loved ones. Visit the Maggie’s website for more information.
