About Queenford Lake
Queenford Lakes Water Sports Centre
Queenford Lake, near Wallingford, is a relatively shallow inland natural lake popular with wild casual and competitive swimmers, triathletes, and kayakers alike.
Although maintained as a wild lake, with swans, fish, and even turtles, to help prevent excessive weed growth, there are well-marked swimming courses for 500, 750, and 1,000 metres.
There is an outdoor lake-side shower to rinse off after your swim with changing facilities and toilets. There is also a kid’s climbing area – for those bringing their families along while they swim.
In addition to open water wild swimming, Oxford Wet n Wild offers a selection of water sports, including an aqua park, paddleboarding and Kayaking. Nearby, Oxford Wakeboard & Ski Club (OWSC) is a centre of excellence in water skiing and wakeboarding.
