About Revision on Tour: Macbeth

Calling all English GCSE students, teachers, and lovers of great literature! The Dickens Theatre Company brings Shakespeare’s bloodiest and most gripping tragedy to Aylesbury Waterside Theatre in April 2026.

In this dynamic and cleverly crafted adaptation, the infamous Porter steps into the role of narrator, guiding audiences through a tightening web of ambition, betrayal, tyranny, and dark magic.

With an ensemble of just six versatile actors, this production conjures a whole cast of characters, recreating the tension and atmosphere of the Scottish Play with striking clarity.

Set against a world of war, witchcraft, and treason, Macbeth remains chillingly relevant in the 21st century – making this an unmissable experience for students studying the text and theatre fans alike.

“What’s done cannot be undone!”

As part of DTC’s highly acclaimed Revision on Tour (alongside Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde), this accessible Macbeth entertains and educates to the bitter end.

Post-matinee Q&A session with the cast & director available upon request.
