About the Thames Traditional Boat Festival 2022
The 43rd Thames Traditional Boat Festival – popularly known as “The Trad” – will take place this year from 15 to 17 July 2022 on the picturesque Fawley Meadows at Henley-on-Thames.
“The Trad” is the largest gathering of classic river craft in the world, and with the Dunkirk Little Ships dressed overall, they are a wonderfully picturesque sight, with vessels and owners primped and polished and itching to show off their beautiful craft.
An exciting and fun day out for the whole family, a celebration of all that’s best in British boatbuilding and craftsmanship evoking the nostalgia of boating from a bygone era – this popular, long-running event now offers more attractions on the water, in the air and on the land, than ever before.
The Thames Traditional Boat Festival 2022 will provide a quintessential English summer weekend by the river, with bars and street food, including the Crooked Billet pop-up pub with great music to transform each evening into the best Bank Holiday party.
