Enjoy a wonderful evening of champagne, canapés and carols at the The Mulberry Carol Service in the splendour of St Barnabas Church in Jericho, Oxford, to support the work of The Mulberry Bush, a charity working with traumatised children.
Special guests to be announced.
The Mulberry Bush School provides residential therapeutic care and education for children with severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties for some of the most emotionally distressed and traumatised primary school-aged children in the country.
Some of the children at the Mulberry Bush school have been sexually abused, some physically abused, and some appallingly neglected. This early trauma, neglect or abuse has led to numerous failed educational and home placements.
Established in 1948 at Standlake, near Witney, The Mulberry Bush School works with children who suffer from extreme levels of emotional distress, leading to behaviour which makes it difficult to support them in a standard community setting.
The Mulberry Bush Charity is now so much more than just the School. Through its Outreach/Training and Research Teams, MB3 site in Gloucestershire, International Centre and a new Consultancy Service, the charity can support not just 10s or 100s but 1000s of children and those around them through specialist services.
Children learn to cope with their trauma and develop a belief in their potential to have a happy future…
