Winner of the Fortnum & Mason Debut Food Book Award 2017
Nominated for the André Simon award for best cookbook and Guild of Food Writers book of the year.
“This is the cookbook that’s caused the biggest stir among food writers this year. Meller is an incredible talent who’s quietly served his time as head chef at River Cottage. Not only has he broken out with an astonishingly beautiful book but his combination of creativity, technique and natural ingredients is effectively a redefinition of seasonal British cooking.”
“If ever there was a cookbook to have you yearning to up sticks and move to the countryside, then this is it. But Meller is more approachable, less elitist than that and Gather is a subtle encouragement to us all to get closer to the source of the food that we eat, wherever we live. Right up there with the very best cookbooks of the year, with photos so beautiful that it’s coffee table as well as kitchen-worthy.”
