Rooftop Restaurant

There are terrific views of the Oxford spires from the Rooftop Restaurant at the Ashmolean. Dine on the terrace in the summer or gaze out of the huge windows as you enjoy lunch, cocktails or dinner. Have afternoon tea or enjoy free jazz most Thursday evenings. Find the entrance on St Giles (evenings only).

The restaurant menu features pork belly, bavette steak, smoked haddock, hot smoked mackerel, and butternut squash risotto.

Restaurant opening times:
Monday to Wednesday from 10:00 am–4:30 pm
Thursday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm (entrance via St Giles’)
Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm

Restaurant serving times:
Lunch: Monday to Sunday from 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm
Afternoon Tea: Monday to Sunday from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Dinner: Thursday to Saturday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

The cafe

The café serves meals throughout the day: freshly baked croissants, hot and cold lunch dishes as well as a fine selection of cakes, coffees and biscuits.

The Café and Restaurant are managed by a preferred caterer, Benugo Limited.
